Christian Excellence
ex•cel•lence -–noun the fact or state of excelling; superiority; eminence: his excellence in mathematics.
So there are some schools of thought out there that we are to “pursue excellence” in all we do as we live the Christian life. I’m struggling with this because of my perfectionist tendencies where I often feel like I’ve lost before I start and never really feel “excellent” or that I’ve done any thing that excellent. Most of the time I feel like I’m barely making it, yet God is faithful to bless me despite my weaknesses. Maybe I have a wrong understanding of Christian excellence.
What is your response about the connection of excellence and Christian faith? What should excellence look like as a Christian? How do you connect, or even do you connect, this in your own life?
