Memories...

This week's school supply specials!
Thinking of school make me thing of tv shows from my childhood.

Down Memory Lane:

The Wonder Years

Kevin Arnold - The Narrator: When you're a little kid you're a bit of everything; Scientist, Philosopher, Artist. Sometimes it seems like growing up is giving these things up one at a time.

Growing Pains

Maggie Katherine Malone Seaver: Carol, how dare you disobey us!
Jason: I never thought I would ever say that but Carol Ann Seaver, you're grounded.
Carol: Wait...
Maggie Katherine Malone Seaver: No explanations. You are not getting a nose job.
Carol: I know.
Jason: What?
Carol: I'm not getting a nose job.
Jason: Don't confuse us by agreeing with us, Carol.

Mr. Belvedere

Family Ties

Steven: Alex, parents are conditioned to put up with a few minor accidents when they leave their children home alone. A broken vase, spilt milk on the rug... There was a kangaroo... in my living room.
Alex P. Keaton: ...He was just here for the party dad.
Steven: Then I guess I'm overreacting.

Family Matters

Steve Urkel: You're safe now, Missy.
Laura: Thank you, Steve. Now, I'm gonna give you a compliment. But, it's only a compliment and it doesn't mean anything more than that.
Steve Urkel: Oh, I understand.
Laura: You did good.
Steve Urkel: You love me, don't you?

ALF

Kate: Don't break that remote.
ALF: Kate, have I ever broken anything?
[Kate stares at him]
ALF: Well, lately?
[pause]
ALF: This week?
[pause]
ALF: Today?
[pause]
ALF: Since breakfast?

Perfect Strangers

Balki Bartokomous: Well, of course not, don't be ridi-cool-us.

Dinosaurs

Baby Sinclair: Not the mama!

Full House

Michelle: May I have your cupcake, please?
Steph: No, you may not.
Michelle: But I was polite and I said please.
Steph: I was polite, too. I said, No, you may not.
Michelle: Guess what? Politeness Week is over. Give me that!
[Michelle grabs Stephanie's cupcake and runs off, followed by Stephanie]
Steph: How rude.

M*A*S*H

Frank Burns: Spontaneity has its time and its place.

Doogie Howser, M.D.

Patient: You're a kid.
Douglas 'Doogie' Howser: True, but I'm also a genius. If you have a problem with that I can get you someone who's older but not as smart as me

And more memories for you 80's (and before) babies can be found here.

The Wonder Years! I used to love that show! I remember really enjoying the intro. "The What would you do if I sang out of tune" song playing over the home video clips.

Hey, Tanya. I did not know you were old enough to enjoy some of these shows ;) Ah, but you must have enjoyed them in re-runs, no?

Heidi I LOVE that The Wonder Years as well!!! We should watch re-runs together or just belt out the theme song together the next time we hang out.

Das Family Ties and Mr. Belvedere are a bit foggy to me but I do remember them... but not as well as some others.
